The course covers topics such as nautical chart reading, proper use of beacon, signals by light, sound and flag, and understanding of harbor regulations, the meaning of international signals, international regulations for preventing collisions at sea, international distress signals and seamanship, etc, and engine structure, engine operating principle , repair and maintenance, and demonstration of fire prevention equipment.

1. Age 18 or above;
2. Applicant must submit an eye-test report on distant vision and color vision to enroll for exam (color vision not passed can only drive in the day-time);
3. Applicant must attend both Part A (Master) & Part B (Engineer) exam on the same day.
